The exhibition will offer the public a unique route for Quattrocento Florentine art that has, as a starting point, one of the icons of the Museum's collection: the portrait of Giovanna Tornabuoni. In this context, discuss the theme of portraiture in the fifteenth century Florence, with works by Botticelli and Ghirlandaio as well Pollaiuolo, and shall provide building blocks related to the marital bond between Giovanna and Lorenzo Tornabuoni degli Albizzi. The sample, finally, an important section devoted to religious art displayed in the private sphere where they not only meet but also painting on wood sculptures, manuscripts and other art objects of the highest quality.
