Idea: Painting-Force is an essay exhibition that explores a specific situation in the Spanish art scene of that period. It does so by focusing on the work of five artists: Alfonso Albacete, Miguel Ángel Campano, Ferran Garcia Sevilla, Juan Navarro Baldeweg and Manolo Quejido. The works on display, which date from 1978 to 1984, exemplify the artistic and aesthetic positioning of their authors, who conceive of pictorial practice as a territory for thought and for the production of creative strategies.
